These terms cover playing Tenth Bell at thetenthbell.com. Tenth Bell is made by Michael Bondi, a sole proprietor trading as Tenth Bell ("we", "us"), and your agreement is with him. By playing, and by carrying on playing, you agree to them.

The game

Tenth Bell is a story-driven role-playing game that runs in your web browser. It is told in thirteen acts, released in seasons, and every act is free to play, with or without an account. There is nothing to buy in the game. The game is rated Mature 17+ (blood, swearing and sexual themes, never explicit).

Acts are released over time and we don't promise dates.

Your account

An account is optional: your email address, signed in by a link or code we email you. It lets your saves follow you to any device you sign in on. Keep access to your email; it is how you sign in.

Fair use

Don't use the game or its servers for anything unlawful, for fraud or spam, or to infringe anyone's rights. Don't attack, overload, probe or scrape the game or its servers, or upload anything harmful to them. Don't copy, resell or redistribute the game or its art, music or text.

Ownership

Tenth Bell, its story, characters, art, music and code belong to Michael Bondi. You may play the game for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may stream, record and monetise videos of Tenth Bell, music included.

These terms don't give you any other rights in the game.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or a security or fraud risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time from the Account menu in the game.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the game and your cloud saves available, but the game is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be online or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when.
